Photoshop 7.0 Scripting plug-in v.1.0.2a for Windows 2002-07-31

Automate repetitive tasks and key workflows in Adobe® Photoshop® 7.0 using rich scripting support. Write scripts using JavaScript or Microsoft Visual Basic.
Version 1.0.2a fixes the following issues:
• The ScriptingSupport installer has been updated to work with Adobe Photoshop 7.0.1.
• The ScriptingSupport plug-in has been updated to work on Windows 98.
• When an error occurs while executing JavaScript, the entire error message is now returned to the user.
• If a JavaScript or Visual Basic script held references to layers or channels in multiple open documents, these references could get corrupted.
• If you tried to install the ScriptingSupport plug-in on a Windows system that did not have Photoshop 7.0 installed, the installer would display an error message stating that insufficient disk space was available.
• In some cases, a script created by the ScriptingListener would fail to execute.
• Resizing documents did not work if resampling was set to none.
• Resizing documents did not work if the height or width of the new document was specified using pixels and if the resize command also specified a new document resolution.
• The "AddTimeStamp.js" JavaScript that is installed in the Scripts folder used the wrong property to set the location of the text.
• Adjusting a layer using the mix channels adjustment type would fail if an integer value was used in the output channels list.

• When an error occurs while executing JavaScript, the entire error message is now returned to the user.
• If a JavaScript held references to layers or channels in multiple open documents, these references could get corrupted.
• The installer would fail if installing on Mac OS X and no Classic environment was found.
• In AppleScript, when getting a value as a specific unit type, a unit-value rather than a number was returned.
• Adjusting a layer using the mix channels adjustment type would fail if an integer value was used in the output channels list.

Targa plug-in for Windows 2002-07-12

Versions of Adobe Photoshop earlier than version 7.0 saved the first alpha channel in a file into the fourth channel when writing Targa files. Photoshop 7.0 changed the application's default behavior to save transparency information instead of an alpha channel, resulting in incompatibility with some existing workflows. In response to user feedback, this plug-in restores the earlier behavior of the Targa plug-in.

Note: The Photoshop 7.0.1 update contains all functionality included in the revised Targa plug-in, so downloading and using the revised plug-in is unnecessary with Photoshop 7.0.1.

Type Repair Droplet for Windows 2002-07-12

The Type Repair Droplet addresses a data corruption issue identified in files created by Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Under certain circumstances, Photoshop 7.0 can create a text layer that is written incorrectly into a PSD, TIFF, or PDF file. When trying to open a file saved with this kind of text layer, Photoshop will report the following
error message: "A problem was encountered reading layer "xxx" because the layer is not a valid text layer. The existing pixel data will be used instead. Continue?"

Dropping affected files onto the Type Repair Droplet will repair the flaw and allow Photoshop 7.0 to open the files without rasterizing text layers.

Note: The Photoshop 7.0.1 update corrects the issue that could cause corrupted type layers. Photoshop 7.0.1 can repair files corrupted in Photoshop 7.0, so it is not necessary to use this utility with Photoshop 7.0.1.
