Updated WebContactSheetII plug-in (to prevent unintentional file deletion) - German for Macintosh 2002-12-13

This updated WebContactSheetII plug-in addresses a problem that has been identified in the original Photoshop Elements WebContactSheetII plug-in that can, in certain cases, lead to unintentional file deletion.

Our testing has confirmed that this bug does not exist in the English version of Photoshop Elements 2.0, any version of Adobe Photoshop Elements prior to version 2.0, or in any version of Adobe Photoshop. Consequently only users of localized language versions of Photoshop Elements 2.0 need to download this updated plug-in.

The WebContactSheetII plug-in contains the Web Photo Gallery, a tool within Adobe® Photoshop® Elements that allows the creation of a Web photo gallery automatically from a set of images in a folder. The HTML pages representing the Web photo gallery as well as the images that populate the gallery (resized copies of the original image files) are placed in a destination folder. If another Web photo gallery is created targeting the same destination folder, a bug in the original Web Photo Gallery plug-in will delete all files in that folder, including those unrelated to either the original or the new Web photo gallery.

Using this updated plug-in to replace the plug-in supplied by the program will prevent this error from occurring.

Ignore EXIF Color Space utilities for Windows 2002-11-27

When opening images from digital cameras, Adobe® Photoshop® Elements 2.0 reads the ICC color profile and EXIF metadata supplied by the camera to determine which color space it should use to interpret each image. Certain digital cameras do not embed ICC profiles, but specify the sRGB color space in the EXIF data, even though they allow the photographer to use different spaces. As a result, Photoshop Elements behaves as if each image is tagged with an sRGB ICC profile.

Running this utility will instruct Photoshop Elements 2.0 to ignore the color space specified in EXIF metadata. A second utility is also included to restore the normal behavior of Photoshop Elements 2.0.
