Profile

I have experience in all aspects of systems administration and computer networks, with an emphasis on Macintosh-based production environments. I enjoy helping people to get the best out of computers by solving technical problems and by finding better ways of using the technology. I am methodical, hard-working and always keen to learn more about how to get the best from computing.

Experience and Skills

I have very strong scripting skills and have used these in my job, either to simplify the task of administering a large network of computers or to build systems where an existing product would have been a poor fit.

Specific technology experience includes Mac OS X, Windows, FreeBSD, Linux, Solaris and Irix operating systems; AppleScript, Python, PHP programming languages; MySQL and Filemaker Pro databases; Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP and the Apache web server.
