I miss the old Adobe. I miss software vendors contacting you by snail mail when an update was available and offering to send the update on 3.5&quot; floppy disks (Quark was great at that). In Adobe&#039;s defence they seem to be improving their back-end support systems recently, so don&#039;t give up hope.&lt;/p&gt;

I can&#039;t even get their stupid download manager to work. I&#039;ve got a fresh Win XP install, all up to date and legal, latest Firefox, latest IE 7... nothing works. Their popup page just loops infinitely.&lt;/p&gt;
